Half way through February, so let’s have a look at what I swapped into my make-up bag this month. At the beginning of this year I said moving forward through 2016 I would do a monthly make-up bag edit, more so for myself than anything, so that I ensure I play with all the bits of make-up I own. Nobody likes getting stuck in a rut.
A few old favourites and a few newbies in the mix this time around, let’s have a nosey shall we?
I totally forgot how much I love
Benefit Cosmetics Hello Flawless foundation. Still making sure I have an spa in my base this contains spa 25. It makes my skin look so radiant, whilst being a medium coverage. It photographs beautifully. My skin has been playing funny buggers this month so I have one too many hormonal spots in residence, so thank god for my
Amazing Cosmetics Concealer. This erases every flaw. My Clarins Instant Concealer is rarely out of sight, I use this to conceal any dark circles.
After spending some time with L’Oreal Paris at Sculpt School I of course had to include the new Infallible Sculpt palette for a wee bit of contouring. I have been loving the Lancome Blush Subtil palette, containing everything I need for bronzer, blusher and highlighter. The bronzer is perfect for my complexion. For eyes this month I wanted to play around with a neutral palette, I chose my Make-up Atelier palette, full of soft browns and cream shades. With a wash of colour over the lid, I then place a little of my glittery Nars Outer Limits peach shadow just over the centre. I think this is limited edition. To add depth I threw on my Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in Bronze! In the mix is also my new fave mascara, L’Oreal False Lash Sculpt mascara – so good!
To finish off the look, I got my stubby MAC Boldly bare lip liner out, I used to use this all the time and miss having it in my make-up bag. The lipstick I have chosen for February is one I just adore, L’Oreal Colour Riche lipstick in shade 630.
I know even though I change up my make-up bag, I still stick to the same colour palette, but I just know what suits my skin tone etc. However, I think in March I will force myself out of my comfort zone and start playing around with more colours and textures.
What’s kicking around your make-up bag this month?
