So later on this afternoon I will be travelling to the Weleda Gardens for a lovely Insight Day
with a handful of fellow bloggers. I am really looking forward to it. I thought
a mini review on a set I recently tried from this brand, whilst on holiday, would fit nicely
in with today.
Weleda, for those of you whom have never heard of them
before are a brand that have very holistic, spiritual beliefs in regards to
maintaining and restoring human health. It originally began in 1921 as a
pharmaceutical lab
, using it’s very own medicinal plant garden to create
products to help people. It is now the world leading manufacturer of holistic
natural cosmetics
and pharmaceuticals for anthroposophical therapy.
What on earth is anthroposophical therapy you ask? Don’t
worry, whilst researching this brand I had to find out what it meant to, and
also practice saying the word, it is a bit of a mouthful.
Anthroposphical therapy is something I have believed in for a while, without even knowing the technical name for it. It is an extension of conventional medicine, where upon it looks into your health as a whole, rather than just one little issue. It looks to nature and all of its resources and uses it’s benefits to help restore the human mind, body and spirit. Believe it or not, it is not as highly available in this country as it is world wide, as some people frown upon this way of medicine. Personally, I think more of us need to have this out look and not be so rushed into sticking with conventional methods. Nature is the source of everything and we must remember that.
I got my hands on this Weleda Heroes Kit, which is a great
way to try the brand’s most popular skin and body care treats in miniature
size. With me going on holiday this set was ideal for me as everything is so
teeny weeny it would have been perfect to carry in my hand luggage. So what do
you get in the set?
Skin Food, the only product I have actually used before from
this brand, a treatment for dry areas of skin. A make-up artist actually used
this on me as an eye cream which is one of the best tips I have ever picked up
from a fellow artist. Used by celebrities such as Alexa Chung, Adele and
Victoria Beckham
, you know this product is a cult must have. Birch Cellulite
Oil
is also in the set, and I have not yet used this, but I am looking forward to
seeing an improvement in the texture of my skin (Especially my bottom region).
The Wild Rose Soothing Day cream is so light yet so hydrating, my skin loves
it. There is also a hand cream in here, and I always need hand cream. The
Pomegranate Regenerating Hand cream
genuinely is lovely and doesn’t leave a
greasy film afterwards. Last but not least, my favourite of the set, Sea
Buckthorn Body Lotion
.  This stuff is
amazing, and I definitely want to buy it in full size.
Each of these products have been formulated very carefully
using plants, nuts and seed oils all designed to nourish and replenish the
skin. I cannot wait to see the gardens where upon these plants live and grow.
As I am keen to become more of a green blogger this is something that I am
really excited to be a part of. I will keep you posted on the Insight Day and
of course share my experience with you here on my blog.
Stay tuned!
