Something a little different for today’s post guys. I want to tell you all about my day filming with the lovely Jo Martin, International Make-up Artist for Paul and Joe Beaute alongside the team at Aida Shoreditch.
Aida Shoreditch, now my favourite store in London, is a stylish yet quirky boutique and cafe, right in the heart of East London. It reminds me of Urban Outfitters, but with no resemblance of being a chain, much smaller and without a doubt, better. I literally wanted every item of clothing lining the walls and filling the shelves. It’s a shame my bank balance couldn’t take everything home with me that day. Aida have recently become new stockists of Paul and Joe Beaute, and with the relaunch of their website, your shopping experience will be complete with video make-up tutorials online and in store.
Aida asked me to be the “face” of these make-up tutorials, it was a refreshing change from having to be the one doing the make-up to actually becoming the one sat in the make-up chair.

I never really had the opportunity to play with Paul and Joe Beaute make-up before, so naturally, I felt like a kid in a candy store picking up all the different products out on display, waiting to be used. How pretty is the packaging? Let’s all take a moment just to appreciate it shall we?
Jo as well as being the brand’s international artist, also looks after all the sales and accounts across Europe, a dream role. It was an absolute pleasure to meet and work with this lady. Jo told me everything there is to know about the make-up and introduced me to the brand new foundations (photographed above). I know I am a sucker for packaging, but asides from that, what actually goes on inside, the formulas themselves, is just fabulous.
We filmed four different looks during the day, including a natural make-up look, a feline flick, a bright lip and a smokey eye. As Jo did my make-up I learnt about each of the individual products she was using and I wanted to buy everything on the spot. The foundation felt fabulous and the eyeshadow sets are just too adorable to ignore.
I am really looking forward to seeing the final cuts of the make-up tutorials and as soon as they are live I will of course share them with you guys. Make sure you head down to check out Aida Shoreditch if you are ever in London, it really is worth a visit.
A huge thank you to Aida and an extra special thank you to Jo and Paul & Beaute. If you got as excited as I did just from looking at these photographs of the make-up then keep your eyes peeled as I have reviews planned over the next few weeks. Jo very kindly sent me an overwhelming gift, a package containing lots and lots of Paul and Joe Beaute make-up. I was too scared to touch any of it at first, but having since photographed each little piece I have been slowly testing out each product, and trust me, you will want to get your hands on it just as much as I did.
