MOTD #1 Summer Sunset Eyes
When boredom strikes a make-up artist, there is only one
thing for it, the make-up comes out to play. Sat on my bed, I had a rummage through my kit
and found my old Lime Crime Magic Dust
pots! These are now sadly discontinued but I sure did love using
these. Eye shadow as a loose powder can get messy but they always seem to last longer than a pressed version. If you haven’t heard of this brand, Lime Crime are vegan
friendly and they offer everything from candy themed lipsticks to pots of
glitter! I love this brand, particularly because of the magical packaging and
recurring theme of Unicorns. You can order online from Cocktail Cosmetics.

So for this look what did I use?
Eyebrows
Weirdly I always start with my brows, don’t ask me why, it
is just a habit that I got into and really works for me. I purposely chose a shade
that was much darker than my natural hair to ensure emphasis on the eye area. I
used Trish McEvoy Brow Pencil Natural
Brunette.

Eyes
I started out using M.A.C
Coppering eyeshadow, a beautiful red coppery colour, which I blended
through the eye socket using the Crownbrush SS026 Syntho Angle Shader, this brush is great for applying colour
as well as blending it out. I then used a flat eyeshadow brush, one from my Crownbrush 7pc HD Brush set, to pack on
my first Lime Crime Magic Dust, a purple shade called Empress. I softly blended the two colours together using the same
Angle Shader as used earlier.

I took a mint green shade Mischief Managed (Favourite eyeshadow name ever) along the lower
lash line using a chisel brush, something small suitable for detailing such as
my Crownbrush SS028 Syntho Chisel Shader
does the trick.

The eye look was fnished off with a pair of Ardell Demi Wispies, lining the top
lash line with a Green People Organic
Anti-Aging Eye liner in City Grey and Trish
McEvoy Mascara.

Base
Using my trusty foundation brush from the Crownbrush 7pc HD Brush Set I buffed in
Clinique Anti Blemish Foundation in
the shade Fresh Ivory, which is
actually depressingly a shade too dark for me, the joys of being an albino. I
then contoured my face with Tom Ford
Shade and Illuminate in Shade One
using an Illamasqua Blush Brush. Again
from the Crownbrush HD Brush Set, I
used the large powder brush to add a dusting of Trish McEvoy Golden bronzer to the highest points of my face for a
more sun-kissed look. I set this using a M.A.C
Mineralise Skin Finish in Light Plus, predominantly down the centre of my
face.

Lips
I lined and filled in my lips using M.A.C Lip liner in Subculture,
the perfect shade of nude, topped up with my favourite ever lipstick, Karen Murrell Organic Lipstick in Natural.

I am just getting to grips with using my posh camera for
taking my make-up pictures. What do you guys think? Is this something you would
like to see more of? I am planning on doing more tutorial type posts so if you
have anything in particular you would like to see do let me know.
