Hello 2014 | New Year. New Resolutions

Hello lovelies.
Happy New Year!!!!!!
It has been a while hasn’t it? 38 days in fact. Horrendous behaviour.
I shall tell you, or try and and excuse the reasoning behind my total lack of writing. I started working for MAC Cosmetics as a Xmas temp in October, and everything began smoothly. The months of November and December came by and woah nessy, my shifts pretty much doubled and I was working till 9pm most evenings. This meant any social life was pretty much abandoned and it also meant my poor bloggy took a back seat whilst riding through the festive period in retail.
Today feels like the first time in a while, where I have been able to sit and reflect, even go get my hair done, and realise my nails definitely need a manicure. I may be a couple of days late on this, but today I finally got to look back on 2013 and everything that happened during that year. An awful lot happened I can tell you.
I hardly ever share personal moments here on this blog, but to summarise last year, it was quite an ordeal to say the least. I moved back to the UK in August, having spent almost 2 years in Mallorca with my boyfriend. For a while I had been suffering quietly with a personal trauma that I won’t be sharing here in any form of detail. My close friends are the ones who know about this and I prefer to keep it that way. The time came for me to get help with this “issue” and so after being diagnosed with PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder) I underwent intense therapy. I had been told this would take up to 6 months, but I can proudly say that I was discharged after just 3 months and I am in a much better place. Simply, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy worked a treat.
Shortly after I then went on to get a job with MAC Cosmetics. I was so nervous even for the telephone interview, as I felt I could never fit in with the “MAC Girls”. In the past I have been very intimidated walking into MAC counters, and always imagined each of the girls to resemble Regina George. (If you haven’t watched Mean Girls, ignore that). When I received the news about getting the job I was over the moon, and I can tell you each and everyone of the girls on the Beauty Bazaar MAC counter in Liverpool are beautiful souls and I love them all. Each one of them welcomed me with open arms and taught me so much in such a small space of time.
This brings me to the end of December, where I made the decision to take another job, and to leave MAC. I feel like this is the right move for me and I will be able to share with you all very soon where my new path has taken me.
I move this weekend in fact, and begin my new role on Tuesday. I am very, very excited. This is all I can say. I love being mysterious.
My New Home.
After a roller coaster of a year, I can now look back and see how I have grown as a person and I am so very grateful for my family and the gorgeous friends I have around me. The support has been unreal.
So. A New Year, with exciting things so close on the horizon already. What are my resolutions?
 Smile.
Every single day no matter what side of the bed I wake up on.
Cut out negativity. Be thankful. Grateful.
I have a roof over my head, fresh water and food, a loving family. This is all that REALLY matters.
Be healthy.
I discovered yoga last year, and the importance of eating clean. As of December 12th I have cut out all white and red meat. I still eat fish, but I mainly have a plant based diet and because of this I have tonnes more energy.
Push my career.
I will be setting myself goals monthly, and will assess these after 6 months. It is so important to set yourself personal targets. Aim high and you will surprise yourself.
Pass my driving test.
Long story short, I have to redo my test. God dammit.
Book a holiday.
Sounds crazy, but I haven’t had a proper holiday ever since I moved to Mallorca. Living in a hot country is definitely not the same as taking two weeks off somewhere and lounging on a beach.
Book Challenge.
I read on Fee from Make Up Savvy’s blog a list of her resolutions, and this included setting herself a target of reading 25 books in the year. I love reading and definitely want to take part in this challenge too.

and finally make more time for blogging…obviously.
That is it guys. I just want to be as happy and positive as one human being can possibly be and just see what the universe throws at me throughout 2014. I love reading resolution posts so I hope you enjoyed mine. I wish each and everyone of you the very best for this year. My advice. Go out there and ENJOY IT.
