Fudge Iced Raspberry & Vanilla Hairspray | My Thoughts

Fudge Iced Raspberry and Vanilla Hairspray

I didn’t really need a new hair spray, but you know when you are walking down the aisles of a drugstore, and something in particular catches your eye? This is what happened when I found the Fudge Iced Raspberry and Vanilla Hairspray – sounds good enough to eat right?
I was immediately drawn to the packaging, bright, colourful and fun. I love Fudge hair styling products but had never tried this particular hair spray. I didn’t hesitate at all to put it into my shopping basket, I don’t think I even looked at the price. Suuuuch a sucker for beautiful, shiny things. For the record, the price is £4.99.
First impressions, when I sprayed this over my hair, I fell in love with the smell, not too over powering and none of that awful “alcohol essence” aftermath resulting in a coughing and choking fit – if you have no idea what I am referring to, you have luckily never tried cheap hairspray, good for you.
However, if you are not careful and spray this too close to your hair and too often over the same place, you will build up quite a sticky, tacky finish which is never a good look. So, I always spray this from a little way away from my head and mist it over my hair rather than caking it on.
The hold is great, natural but strong enough to keep your style in place, and brushes out really well. I found in particular, it was great for creating volume even though it does not claim to do this, and it also has anti frizz properties to smooth out your hair.
I think I have found a keeper.
