Golden Bronze Eye Make-up Tutorial

Hello lovelies.
I have been pretty busy with numerous things going on in my life, so I am super duper behind on my *blog posts to write*  list. I am trying to catch up guys, so bare with me!! If you follow me on Instagram (zoenewlove) then you would have seen me post the above image a wee while ago now. I promised to show you how to recreate this simple Golden Bronze Eye Make-up Look, using my Crownbrush UK 120 Eyeshadow Palettereviewed here. Finally I have managed to put together a step by step guide for you. Follow the steps below and you will able to do this easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Before I begin this tutorial, I just want to point out you do not have to use this specific palette, or any of the make-up I have used in this guide. As long as you use similar products, and obviously similar colours, you will easily achieve the same look.

For the base, I used a mix of the two rose gold/ bronze shades (directly underneath the antique gold shade shown in the palette). I actually just used my ring finger to pat a mix of the colours all over the lid and then blended the shadow out with a MAC 217 Blending Brush. My brow bone juts out slightly, creating a very slight “hood” in the eye socket. Therefore, I always try to blend the colour just above this, so when I open my eyes you can still see the colour. When creating a shape yourself, keep looking straight ahead as you blend, this way you can see exactly where you are placing the colour. I hope this makes sense….

Once happy with the shape of the base, take a smaller eyeshadow brush, I used my Nars Smudge Brush, and apply the same mix of colours along the lower lash line.

Next, you want to add some more depth! Choose a darker brown shade, then using a smudge or small crease brush, take this colour into the socket line, and along the top and lower lash line as shown. A tip for when using darker pigments, tap the brush off a few times or even apply some to the back of your hand, instead of directly applying it from palette to eye. This way you get less “fall out” and you won’t make a mess of going too dark, too soon. Use a blending brush to soften the edges, before then going back in to the centre of the lid with the lighter rose gold shade. You can see in the above photograph the centre of the lid, is slightly lighter. Do use a different brush to the one you used the darker shade on for applying the lighter rose gold to the centre… you don’t want to end up with a black eye. As for the inner corner, take another clean brush, or even your little pinky finger will do, to add the antique gold as a highlight.
Finally, add a black liner to the water line – both upper and lower. Use a gel liner like MAC Fluid Line in Black Track to create a flick if you want to! Lots of mascara and you are finished! I am wearing They’re Real by Benefit in the above photograph. It’s one of my faves at the moment.

If you were wondering what I used on my eyebrows, you never know, you guys may be interested, I was wearing an Illamasqua Brow Cake in the shade Heroin. A perfect shade for blondes.
I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial. I keep meaning to do more of these as I find them to be quite popular, if you have any suggestions for looks you are dying to try out but are not sure where to start, then please leave your ideas in the comment box below.
See you soon!
