Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation | The One
The One.
The one foundation that timelessly comes up in conversations over and over again. It is the heavy weight champion of bases. It falls into every Wish List, every Beauty Recommendation, and every beauty blogger’s make-up bag, or so it seems. I honestly believe, I could have left this post as Untitled and simply wrote the words Best Foundation Ever and you would have known even before looking at the photographs. But, is it really that good?
Yes. Yes it is.
Let me talk you through what happened. I accidentally fell into the Harvey Nichols store in Leeds and laid eyes upon the Giorgio Armani beauty counter. The sales assistant, Jack, had impeccably perfect eyebrows. You can hardly fault me for wanting to talk to him. And so, the inevitable purchase happened. I walked out of that store swinging a little white and grey bag, inside my new, luxury Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation swayed. I felt smug.
My skin is going to look better than yours. Fact.
I have dehydrated skin. Foundation, if not, just quite right, will sit in my lines and pores and run off the end of my oily nose. This pretty little base had an awful lot to live up to and had to work on my annoyingly fussy skin.
Applied with my Crownbrush SS015 Flat Bronzer brush, which is THE best brush for liquid foundation application, my skin looks like a dream. The finish: a semi matte, glowy but not too glowy, medium to full coverage. Applied with fingers, you can create that this is my skin but better, oh so natural finish.
Admittedly, when I put it on for the first time, I was like is this it, IS THIS ALL YOU GOT? Then it settled onto my skin, and I was like ohmydaysthisstuffisunreal. I basically fell in love. It stays put all day long ladies and gentleman.
It is a luxurious foundation, a spendy £35.50. It’s totally worth it. Cheers Giorgio.
