The first thing I wanted to do when I arrived in Ibiza, was to switch off from work, my blog, and the stress of moving to a different country. The perfect place to do that happened to be Sa Talaia Hotel.

I knew I had 3 days before moving into the villa with my boyfriend, so we had a look online for a really nice hotel to stay in for those days. We didn’t want anything too pricey but still had a luxury feel to it. It is nice to spoil yourself sometimes, give yourself a break you deserve.

After looking through a few different places, we knew that Sa Talaia was going to be the one for us.

Only a short drive from the airport, we were driving along the rural road to get to the hotel. Even though it is just off a main road, once you are on the beaten path, you soon realise how secluded Sa Talaia is, surrounded by beautiful woodland. I cannot stress enough just how stunning the grounds of the hotel are.

We were shown to our Junior Suite, and I was instantly blown away. I just assumed we would have a standard hotel room, but the suites looked like private little villas – white washed walls and cactuses everywhere. The bedroom was just beautiful, and inside the bathroom were Acqua Di palma toiletries – which just reaffirms how luxurious the whole place felt. If you have not used Acqua Di Palma Bath Salts yet, I suggest you do so.

Everything from our warm welcome, to the impeccable room service and friendly faces in the restaurant, the staff are what really make this place special. They are literally on hand for all your needs at all times and just generally were lovely.

The pool was something special, not that I went in because it was so cold in April, but we did go into the outdoor Jacuzzi.

We were only there a few days, but it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves, even though every room in the hotel was taken. We only came across another family or two when going into the restaurant of an evening.

If you are looking for a luxury getaway, with stunning scenery and access to great restaurants and the airport only a short drive away, I could not recommend this place enough. I had the most wonderful stay and would definitely go back there again to unwind and relax.
