Refreshing Summer Skincare.

Living in Ibiza for the Summer, I have really had to fine tune my skincare routine to suit the hot weather. Wearing make-up and sweating in the sun,  is not a great combination and it is not every day that I feel I can go make-up free, so sadly, my skin does suffer in the warmer climate. Luckily, I do know a thing or two about how to care for my skin, whatever the weather, and I have picked out a small handful of products that have been my saving grace over the past few months.

Ole Henriksen Grease Relief Facial water

I am a huge fan of Ole Henriksen and I still swear by their eye gel being one of the best treatments for my eyes, ever. I very kindly got sent their new collection of facial waters to try, and by far this one is my favourite. With my skin being so oily at the moment, a lot of this is down to dehydration and the heat out here, having this water spray to hand has been a life saver. I also suffer from the odd break out here and there, so the perfect way to calm and fix these random outbursts I turn to this water. It contains active ingredients lactic acid and golden seal to help disinfect, balance and renew the skin, whilst aloe calms and soothes for a completely balanced formula. I swear by lactic acid and try to pick products that contain this as it works wonders on my skin. I love the smell of this water, it is super refreshing with a hint of antiseptic notes.

bareMinerals SKIN LONGEVITY

I was so excited to hear bareMinerals were launching lots of new skincare this Summer, including this stunning new serum named Skin Longevity. In a nut shell this serum encourages healthy skin. So it doesn’t necessarily focus on anti-aging but that comes in hand with wanting healthier, more radiant looking skin. Using Japanese inspired ingredients the formula nourishes and protects the skin, helping to give you softer, more supple skin. It hydrates and renews your skin so that wrinkles and fine lines are diminished, as well as giving your skin luminosity. I love using this as it feels just like water and my skin just drinks it up. I will do a full review on this as there are so many interesting ingredients which make this so special.

Lancome Energie De Vie Nuit

You all should know by now how much I love Lancome, I first reviewed the Energie De Vie range here, and since then I have used the Overnight Sleeping Mask religiously. As well as the hot Summer days, there are the long, heavy nights of work and play. Lack of sleep, not eating enough or having the occasional drop of alcohol really takes its toll on my skin. This mask makes me look like a new person and you would never know that I have gone 3 days in a row on 4 hours sleep.

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Eye Concentrate

I had this little chap sat in my beauty collection for quite some time, and it was only when Lauren from Britton Loves told me how much she loved it, did I give it a go. I usually expect more from an eye cream, but this one really surprised me. I have been using at least once a day for the past month and it really does make a difference. The applicator is what really makes it, it is a small metal ball, that releases this refreshing, cooling gel as you roll it around your eye contour. It helps to minimise fine lines and wrinkles and really soothes my eyes first thing in a morning. I always look tired so I reach for this to help me look more alive.

What would you say are your Summer saving grace products? Can’t wait to hear your recommendations.
