When the email landed in my Inbox, asking me to be a part of the Benefit Cosmetics Trend Team once again for London Fashion Week, I nearly let out a little scream. I absolute adore Benefit Cosmetics, and I especially adore Lisa Potter Dixon, their Head Make-up Artist and just all round legend.

It was a couple of weeks before we found out which designer we would be assisting, last season it was Matthew Williamson, and when I did eventually find out, I felt all the feels. Hello Sophia Webster, creator of the dreamiest shoes in. the.world. 
I was so excited to be reunited with all the Benebabes: Lisa, Lauren, Lauretta, Tany, Frankie and newbies Melissa and Sascha! 
The Look
We have all secretly (or openly) dreamed of being a mermaid, well, I certainly have. The theme of the show was inspired by these magical creatures. How awesome?! Lisa designed the most amazing look, using SO much Benefit Cosmetics High Beam, like you would not believe how many layers were needed to create the illusion of “wet” skin. Other illuminating products such as Watts Up and Girl Meets Pearl were even thrown in for good measure. Hello Flawless Foundation and Boing concealer were used to ensure the skin still looked beautiful, and Gimme Brow for the brows of course.
A new and exclusive product, not yet out and I believe I am one of the only bloggers to have gotten their hands on one, They’re Real Tinted Lash Primer was used to prep the lashes.  This has a brown tint to it so you can even use it alone for really natural looking lashes with a bit more oomph. We used this underneath They’re Real mascara in blue, as well as They’re Real Push Up Liner in blue right in the lash line.
My favourite part of the look had to be the glitter, which Lisa described as “Crushed pearls”. This little detail really brought the look to life.
To finish off Hervana blusher was added to the cheeks and Posie Tint to the lips for a flush of pink. And, if you can believe it, more High Beam. You know, just to make sure the face was completely strobed up….

Bumble and Bumble prepped the hair with Invisible Oil Primer spray, saturating this all over especially at the roots, before adding in Surf Infusion Oil.
I cannot explain how much I enjoyed being a part of the team. To see all of the models in action, underneath all the lighting and surrounded by all the amazing displays, was just surreal. I mean, have YOU ever seen a mermaid on a tower of washing machines? I think not.

I  now want every single pair of Sophia Webster shoes and I also truly believe glitter should be worn daily as an essential accessory.

Afterwards, the only thing left to do was fill ourselves silly with all the food from Balans, and of course, all of the Porn Star Martinis and other delicious cocktails. We then of course covered ourselves in all of the sequins and glitter, which you would have seen if you follow me on Snapchat. If you don’t, then please do: zoenewlove.
I have to say once again, a huge thank you to Lisa and Lauren for inviting me onto the team,  you really are awesome and it was such a pleasure to work alongside you.
