Hair | Going Platinum Blonde with Jason Collier @ Smooth You Salon
So once again I got bored with my hair and decided I needed a freshen up. Most people perhaps decide to go darker for the colder seasons, but me, I decided all I wanted to do was to go brighter and bolder. Say hello to my new platinum white blonde hair.
I was invited down to the Smooth You salon in Dalston London to have a consultation with Art Director Jason Collier, the uber stylish chap in the photographs above. I explained exactly what I wanted, and of course, offered up my Pinterest board of inspiration just for good measure.
Jason talked me through what looks to expect during London Fashion Week, all of which sound utterly fabulous. Expect to see an exciting new take on the pony tail, with faux sweeping fringes, and lots of slicked back hair whether it be dry or wet. I am looking forward to attempting some of the looks even with my short hair.
If you have not been to Smooth You before, make sure you book in not only for a hair appointment, but also make the most of their Beauty Salon. You can get your nails done, a facial, waxing… you can even book a sunbed for a cheeky tanning session. It is in the perfect location, a two minute walk around the corner from Dalston Junction tube station – you cannot miss it.
I am going to head back to the salon in a few weeks to get a toner put on my hair, just to ensure it stays this crisp white shade, nobody likes yellow on a blonde. My hair care routine will also need to be upped a notch, so I will be filming a video this week on how you can look after newly bleached platinum blonde hair – make sure you tune into that.
