The Skincare Currently On Trial.

I am honestly loving playing with skincare more than ever, as I get older it becomes SO much more important to me in comparison to the make-up I choose. My skin is currently the clearest it has ever been, *touches wood*, and I genuinely believe it is down to fine-tuning the type of products that I like, as well as also cutting down on certain foods from my diet – the obvious ones being sugars and dairy. I have never been one to stick to just one skincare brand and for that reason, I always love introducing new products into my skincare routine, as long as they conform to what my skin likes and needs of course. I am a huge fan of light hydrating moisturisers, exfoliating toners and facial oils. These are all staple parts of my weekly skincare routine, and I have been gifted some fabulous new skincare treats recently to test out.

The one I have been playing with for the longest period of time, around two weeks, is the Malin + Goetz Recovery Treatment OilI sometimes use this in a morning in place of a moisturiser, and my skin feels so soft. Full of gorgeous ingredients and it smells incredible. I really like this one guys.

Even though I don’t think of my moisturiser as the most important step, I am quite fussy about the texture, and the finish it leaves on my skin. For the days that I am wearing a lot of make-up and have a long day, I prefer a mattifying moisturiser. The Kiko Hydro Pro Matte is lovely and is one that I probably will put into my professional make-up kit. Two I have only just been given, but I am keen to try are the Bliss Fabulous Drench & Quench and the Skin Laundry Advanced Protection. The Skin Laundry one will come in handy for Ibiza (22 days to go guys) as it has an spf. I fell head over heels for the Skin Laundry Cleanser (Review here) so I have no doubts I will like the moisturiser.

Until recently I never knew what an essence was. I had heard about them but never tried one myself. I have quite enjoyed using the Filorga NCTF Essence Lotion, and even though I don’t see them as an essential step, I would consider repurchasing this. For those who do not know what the purpose of essence is, you apply after cleansing and it is supposed to ensure your skin is at the optimum condition for the rest of your skincare routine to be applied.

Last but not least, I have been meaning to try this for ages and I haven’t yet BUT I am so excited to try the new Vichy Radiance Activating Night Peeling Care tonight. I am a huge fan of Vichy and this sounds incredible. It has been formulated with an antioxidant blueberry polyphenol and fermented black tea to give your skin a daily boost of radiance. It is supposed to help dull and tired looking skin as well as improve the appearance of fine lines. RIGHT UP MY STREET KIDS. I have an ickle feeling from the other reviews I have read that it will be a regular in my routine, as an acid toner. I tend to use Pixi Glow Tonic but I feel I can use this 3-4 times a week in it’s place. I shall report back.

I have a few other bits in testing, obviously, but these I have rounded up as the ones that intrigued me the most. I am still loving the latest launches from Caudalie and the Pixi Double Cleanse. What are you guys currently loving? Send me links to your reviews!
