What’s Inside My Makeup Bag?

It’s been a while since I shared the contents of my make-up bag with you guys, so I thought now would be a good time to show you all what I have been using. In Ibiza I rarely wore make-up, it was too hot and my skin preferred to be without layers of foundation and powder. Now that I am home, I have been enjoying putting my face on, on a regular basis again. I really ruddy appreciate the difference make-up makes to my face, especially in these colder, darker months, when my skin feels dull and drab. It brings it back to life, and perks me up. There is a mix of old favourites such as my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk  foundation & Hoola Bronzer, to newer additions such as the Kat Von D Lock It Concealer. Let’s get stuck in okay?

On the days I choose to wear foundation, I have been using my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, a staple and a long loved favourite of mine. It gives great coverage without being too heavy and has a satin finish. When my skin is feeling on the dry side, I will sometimes add a few drops of a facial oil to this foundation and it makes my skin look heavenly.

For pesky blemishes and my under eye bags, I have been using the Kat Von D Lock It Concealer, the newest addition to my make-up bag, and one that I can see myself using religiously. Super lightweight yet gives incredible full coverage that does not crease or budge.

Then I tend to go in with the Laura Geller Filter Finish Setting Powder. Love this powder, it has colour correcting pigments and blurs any imperfections. On the days where I feel my skin needs even more coverage, I will skip this step and go over my base with the bareMinerals barePro Foundation. This foundation is fabulous when used by itself, and on the days I don’t want lots of coverage, or much foundation at all, I reach for this. It really evens out my complexion and allows my skin to look and feel like skin.

If you follow me on Instagram you will know that I am obsessing with everything from Laura Geller Beauty at the moment. The Delectables Eye Shadow Palette in Shades of Nude is just amazing. The formula is lightweight and has a creamy feel to it, even though it is powder. This is because it is baked. The pigment of each shadow is incredible and I find I don’t even need to wear an eyeshadow primer underneath, as this just stays put without creasing. You can pick this up from Debenhams. Also from this brand, I carry a few of their INKcredible Gel Eyeliners. I love using black, but sometimes I change it up with a grey or navy blue just smudged into the lash line. They are waterproof so they stay put. As for mascara, I keep coming back to this one from Make Up For Ever, Excessive Lash Mascara, as it makes my lashes look super black and full of volume, but more importantly, I do not get panda eyes at the end of the day.

Brows, Benefit Cosmetics are awesome for brow products. They have so many products to choose from but my current favourite is their Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil. I wasn’t a fan of the chunky nib at first, but now I love it as it allows me to be quick with the application.

Blusher, I have gone back to a teenage favourite, Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush in the shade Rose. Just adore it. Bronzer, another old favourite that I keep going back to, is the Benefit Cosmetics Hoola BronzerHighlighter, a new one but fast becoming a staple the Laura Geller Baked Gelato Highlighter in Ballerina. You can see all of these in action in my Festive Christmas Makeup Tutorial over on YouTube. Have you subscribed yet?

Lips, when I am not solely wearing my Weleda Lip Balm, I have been pairing Estee Lauder Estee Edit The Barest Lip Liner, shade In The Buff, with Kat Von D Liquid lipstickshade Lolita II. The perfect shade of nude, and a winning combination that stays put all day long.

Show me your make-up bags! I love being nosey. Leave in the comments links to your posts if you have any.

P.S The make-up bag is this one from Rituals.

The Laura Geller palette is so beautiful! It seems to have taken a backseat in my makeup routine so I definitely need to bring this one out again!
