As I am writing this, I am sat on my apartment balcony overlooking the sea. It is 8am here in Ibiza. I could have just delved right into this post, but I feel as if I just have to share my gratitude with you guys first. Honestly, no matter how home sick I get, or out of my comfort zone I sometimes feel being here, looking at this view brings me right back down to the reason why I am doing this. To LIVE.

Now then, dramatic heartfelt openings out of the way, today I thought I would discuss some new skincare products that have made their way into my beauty cupboard recently. I have some good ones here (especially the night cream).

Clarins Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery Cream

The hero product out of this bunch is my new Clarins night cream. I had very little experience with Clarins skincare, having only recently dabbled with their make-up (obsessed with their concealers) and I was unbelievably blown away. I always struggle finding a night cream I like, as I don’t like feeling like I have a lot on my skin when I go to sleep, but this one is as light as air. It smells amazing too. I am turning 27 on Sunday, and I am more and more obsessed with wrinkle prevention. I do get dehydration lines, and I have an expression line between my eyebrows which bugs me, but this cream is definitely smoothing all of that out. I need the serum and eye cream to match – yup, love it THAT much. Also, side note here, whenever I have a flare up of spots, this cream really helps calm them as well, but not sure it is formulated to do that.

Jurlique Calendula Redness Rescue Calming Mist

Walking to work, in a sunny climate, means it is almost impossible avoiding putting my face in the sun. Yesterday I actually burnt my nose because of it and I was only outside for 30 minutes. My skin has been getting used to a new environment and can be quite sensitive at times, so this calming mist, packed full of ingredients to sooth, hydrate and heal my skin has been working wonders. An absolute must if you are going on holiday this Summer.

VivDerma Purifying Skin Tonic

Always one to use an exfoliating toner, this is the latest addition to my collection and yet another product I have tested from Derma that has won me over. Smelling delicious, with Mandarin and Mint, I use this on a soft cotton pad after cleansing both morning and night. It is great for calming blemishes and getting rid of them, as well as making my over all complexion look smoother, brighter and more toned.

Lancome Bi- Facil Eye Makeup Remover

Last but not least, I have tried to make it a staple part of my routine to use a separate eye makeup remover. All to often I use my usual cleanser to rub at my eyes, when actually they are the most delicate area and I should be taking much more care of them. So, I have been using this lovely gentle eye makeup remover from Lancome. It even gets rid of waterproof mascara which I will be wearing most of this Summer. A couple of drops onto a cotton pad and that is all you need to gently remove any makeup, leaving no oily residue.
