Lancome La Vie Est Belle

Fragrance, much like my hair, is very personal, and
something I am very particular over. I don’t just wear any old scent you know.
Usually I opt for perfume that carries a deep, dark woody base note, but this
time around I have been won over by something completely different. A mood
changer.
Lancome La Vie Est Belle Intense, meaning the beauty of
life, is floral and warming and just makes you feel so good. Just one or two
spritz needed over essential areas my wrists and besides my ear lobes, and I
know that I will smell god damn delicious all day long.

I love how fragrances change on each individual’s skin and
it is so enjoyable to smell how the perfume develops over time and changes in
depth ever so subtly. The top notes which ring out instantly are Pear,
Bergamot, Pink Pepper and Blackcurrant bud.
Yes, it smells good enough to eat.
The heart of this fragrance is made up of Orange Flower,
Jasmine Sambac, Tuberose and Hazelnut accord
. Jasmine wins me over every time.
The base is where things start to get interesting, and feel
more me, Iris, Tonka, Patchouli and Gourmand Accord. The base ties everything
together and really gives the it the warmth and depth that I need in my
perfume, but in sync with the other layers it still has that uplifting, lighter
feel to it as well. So clever.
I have been wearing this perfume most days and even if I
forget to use it, my coat now is enveloped in the smell permanently. Does
anyone else feel naked if they leave the house without spritzing their
favourite perfume over them?
And so the Lancome obsession continues.
