Skincare | Green Energy Organics
My favourite thing about blogging is that it introduces me to so many new brands that I perhaps would never of heard before. I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I do sway to more natural and green skincare, and one of the brands I have been testing out recently is Green Energy Organics.
Green Energy Organics, born in Milano, Italy have been around for the last 20 years or so. The Mediterranean formulas focus on the use of organic plant stem cell technology whilst harnessing the goodness of nature. They have quite an extensive range of products, ranging from your cleansers and toners, through to masks and even hair and body care.
Although I am not a huge fan of the packaging, I do really enjoy what is contained within these glass containers. The Detoxifying Scrub is so lovely, even though the green goo looks a little scary, the texture is really nice and soothing on the skin, whilst completely gentle. It really reminded me of this Aloe Vera gel that I used to put on my skin, so when I looked at the ingredients, I was surprised to see Aloe Vera was not listed. It basically has a really refreshing smell, really clean but in a utterly green way. The ingredients it does however contain include Sweet Almond Oil, Peppermint and Rose hip extract, as well as all of the important vitamins A, C and E and Omega Oils and Fatty Acids. So if you are looking for a great, natural anti-ageing mask that also helps to release microtension in the face then this is for you.
The Detoxifying Mask works in a similar way as the scrub, focusing on lifting dead skin cells, unclogging pores, relieving tension whilst hydrating your skin. You leave it on for 10-15 minutes and it really calms and soothes the skin, which I find quite a refreshing change for a detoxifying mask. Usually masks that unclog pores come in the form of clay or some kind of peel, so to use this jelly formula was different. What is also good to know about this mask, it is safe to use during pregnancy and is actually recommended for reducing swelling and tension. Always handy to know.
Have any of you tried this brand before? If so, what else would you recommend I try?
