In the spotlight today, we have yet another stunning
collection from Kiko Cosmetics, a brand fast becoming my go-to for inexpensive,
quality make-up. The Limited Edition Rebel Romantic range is bursting with
rose gold detail, luxurious textures and feminine shades.

The theme of the collection revolves around the idea of whether you are a Rebel or a Romantic at heart. I think I am definitely a rebel, or I wish I was more to the point. I do wish I was as cool as Shaileene Woodley’s character in the Divergent movies. Is anyone as obsessed with these films as me? Anyway, totally going off track here, but the theme is clear through the contrasting pretty rose gold packaging, against the grey darker hues of the eye shadows and eye liner pencils.

I think my favourite piece for me has to be the Intensely Lavish Lipstick. I have shade Lusty Peony, which is a beautiful warm pink, which is not too distant from my natural lip colour – just with a bit more oomph. The formula feels incredibly hydrating and not at all drying on my lips. The packaging looks so expensive, it reminds me slightly of Charlotte Tilbury – except you are only paying around £7.00.

The Metallic Shine Eyeshadows are awesome, I just love the texture, especially as I could not work out whether it was cream or powder as it just feels so velvety. I have the jade green shade, Charming Sage, but I definitely want to pick up a few of the other colours before the collection ends. Extremely pigmented with very little fall out and great longevity.

One thing Kiko Cosmetics do really well, is an eyeliner. The Colour Definition eye liners are really worth while, I have Black and Warrior Violet – an intense purple that really makes my eyes pop.

Even though I adore the packaging, the Perfecting Bronzer is just a little too orange for my liking, however I do love the idea of the highlighter in the centre. It really does work at brightening up the skin.

Last but not least, this collection also has skincare and I got to try out the Glowing Potion Serum! I just adore the packaging and this would look great on your dressing table. It contains Hyaluronic Acid which helps to smooth and plump out the skin. This makes a great base for your make-up.

On my eyes I applied the sage Metallic Shine Eyeshadow, this acted as a base before applying the grey tone from the Reckless Spirit Eyeshadow Palette (Romantic Green) into the crease.  I added darker navy shades to the outer and inner corners of my eyes before lining my top and lower lash line with the violet eye liner. I think this is a really pretty look for Autumn and is great if you have blue or brown eyes.
