Lifestyle | Discovering Paradise Wildlife Park
These Lemurs remind me of the film Madgascar. King Julian is the BEST. My sister Amy would understand my appreciation right now. |
I honestly believe the best memories are born from an act of spontaneity.
Before I delve into this post, I better forewarn you. There will be no sign of lipstick or moisturiser. Today, we have, more of a personal post. I rarely write a lifestyle post or whatever you want to categorise them as. Neither do I open up much about me, Zoe the person, all you guys really see is: Zoe the beauty blogger and make-up artist. There is more to me than my love of eyeshadow and mascara you know. I definitely want to indulge in more lifestyle writing, maybe just once a fortnight to begin with. Then again, you may not find what I get up to very interesting at all, so let me know okay? And with that very lengthy explanation outta the way…
Over the weekend me and my boyfriend paid a visit to the Paradise Wildlife Park, a family run zoo in Hertfordshire. I absolutely love visiting zoos, I mean aren’t animals the most wonderful thing? I wish you could have seen my face as we made our way in the car, I was so, so excited. Lots of my child hood memories involved spending time at Chester Zoo, and as I hadn’t been to a wildlife park in such a long time, I was in a state of nostalgia.
I should also note, this post is photograph heavy and features lots of fun loving animals.
I even purposely wore my new dungaree dress to highlight the fact I felt like I was 6 years old all over again. I apologise profusely for my incredibly pale attire, I am so see through it blinds me. Mum, if you see this post, yes I stole your handbag, did you know it turns into a rucksack? Well you do now.
Paradise Wildlife Park, home to lots of wild and exotic creatures as well as your lovely farm animals, it is a great day out for couples and families alike. The sun was beaming and asides from worrying about not packing any suncream, I was ready to rock and roll. My boyfriend Scott brought along his very posh camera to take lots of photographs, and he very kindly let me use them for this blog post. None of these photos are mine, they are all his, isn’t he a talented chappy?
I think the White Tiger and the White Lions were my favourite, as I had never before seen these animals up close and personal. They looked so cuddly, I just wanted to jump right on in with them, but you know, I appreciate my life too….
We got to see the Tigers being fed, which was awesome and we also spent a wee while swooning over the stunning Jaguars. My heart raced when I saw a Cheetah parade on past. Scott loved watching the Gibbons, swinging around their enclosure, happy as could be. There was even a baby Gibbon cuddling it’s Momma Monkey.
I personally enjoyed seeing how scared Scott was of the Giant Anaconda – they can eat a Jaguar whole, imagine that.
I had a pretty magical time and our random day out to the wildlife park turned into one of the best weekends. If it wasn’t for Emily from British Beauty Addict telling me all about this park, I would not have been able to experience this at all. So thank you lovely! I loved every second.
Just in case you wanted to know, tickets are like £17 per person and they have 20% off according to their website. Check it out here.
There you go. Let me know if you want to see more of my random adventures. I am now thinking to go the next level… SAFARIIII. Animal obsessed. Hint Hint Scott.

Neither do I – it is quite upsetting, but all the animals looked really well looked after and in some cases it is safer for them inside a zoo 🙂 xxx

It’s so weird that you’ve gone to Paradise Wildlife Park, a place which I massively took for granted when I was younger as I used to go all the time. So many lovely photographs x

Some animals are just so beautiful (those tigers!) and others are so funny how human like they are. And what could be better than a meercat with a cheeky little smile like that! x
