Make-up | A Look for Summer with Guerlain, Kiko Cosmetics and Bare Minerals
I am not sure whether it is right to post this today, considering as I look outside my bedroom window and the rain is still coming down. The weather today has just been absolutely awful – what kind of Summer is this? Come on England.
On a more positive note, I got to playing around with some new make-up this morning, as you do before work, and I thought I would share what I put together with you lovely lot. Note, see me embracing the pink lip, I could get used to this…
I lay down my base, Bare Minerals Pure Brightening Serum in Bare Linen. Now that my tan has completely faded, this is slightly too dark for me, but I could not face using my lighter shade for a Summer look, it just didn’t sit right with me. I love this foundation though, so lightweight, great coverage – natural to medium.
Possibly the prettiest bronzer ever, a fact that does not surprise me as this brand are always on point with their Summer packaging, I introduce Guerlain Bronzing Powder in Terracotta, both moisturing and long lasting which is clearly stated on the outer packaging. How gorgeous is that turquoise packaging? Mmm just love. Definitely on the red toned scale of bronzers, but for once, I actually do not care as it is different for me to wear something like this on my skin and instantly makes me want to go on holiday. Plus, it makes my eyes stand out? As always with Guerlain, the formula is buttery and velvet soft, the powder just glides over my skin.
I treated myself to this Kiko Cosmetics number, the Color Fever Eeyshadow Palette in Coral Burgandy. Just look at those pinks? Pink is such a fab shade to wear for those of you with green or blue eyes, and this palette is ever so wearable. I am so glad I picked this up. I chose to just play with a wash of colour and a coating of my Benefit Roller Lash mascara finished the eyes off.
These next two products are what make this look for me. Inika Cosmetics have the most stunning Light Reflect Highlighting Creme. Organic and natural and just beautiful. Pearly pink toned and light as a feather. I wanted to rub my entire face in it, but I just “strobed” the key areas such as the bridge of my nose, the tops of my cheekbones and around my brow bone – oh and ze cupid bow durrrr.
Then the star of the show. The pinkest lipstick there ever did be. Guerlain Rouge Automatique Hydrating Long Lasting Lip Colour in 662 Fluo Stiletto, introduced via their Summer 2015 collection – eurgh even I got excited over this shade, says the girl who is scared of pink! The packaging is just to die for, like, serious luxury going on here. The key to this shade: It goes well with a tan, perfect for your Summer holiday. Light as a feather and effortlessly long wearing, I am in love with this lippy.
I have some good news to share too! This weekend I have zero plans: So I have time to FILM YOUTUBE VIDEOS! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Finally my diary clears up so I can have some FUN. Tell me what you want to see from my channel! Check out what I have previously filmed here.
