I sure do love a candle. I have at least two or three out on display in my bedroom at any one time. Apart from the obvious element of them fragrancing the room, they just give it a more homie feel you know? So when I was approached by Ashleigh & Burwood to consider doing a review of their Escapology Candle range, I could hardly so no.

The Escapology Luxury Scented Candles contain natural ingredients, sourced from all around the world, all of these places of which have inspired the makings of each candle. So for anyone like me who has a severe case of Wanderlust, but not a big enough bank balance to help you travel world wide on an exciting adventure, choose a candle and take a journey there through the fragrance, right in your very own bedroom.  

My favourite scents are those that can whisk me off on holiday, who wouldn’t want to go away to some far off tropical paradise? The Seychelles candle does exactly that. With coconut, vanilla, white musk and ylang ylang to indulge my senses, I believe this is the best candle I have ever lit. My room has never smelt better. It is literally a beach, suncream, sunglasses and your passport all rolled into one. I wish it came with an actual flight to the beautiful island. 

Madagascan Vanilla is some what warmer, it almost smells good enough to eat. If this is what Madagascar smells like, then sure as hell I want to head there in my near future. Full of vanilla tonka beans, cinnamon, chocolate, sandalwood and jasmine, the fragrance is so heady and delicious I almost don’t want to light it, as it is simply too good to share. 

It isn’t often a candle excites me as much as these have, and I truly believe a great candle is key in helping me to wind down and relax of an evening. There is no better way to de stress than running a nice hot bath and lighting your favourite candles.
