Up your Brow Game with Benefit Cosmetics
If you guys don’t know already, my brows, are like every-thaaaang to me. The first time I had them tinted and shaped, I wept, full on, soggy tears. Brows define your face, they change the game. Benefit Cosmetics, as discovered recently, offer an entire range of Brow Services. They actually have over 100 brow bars across the UK and Ireland. How did I not know this? The services they offer include Brow and Lash tints, Brow Mapping, Brow Arch and even a cheeky lip wax.
Benefit Cosmetics, very kindly invited me to be a part of their VIP program, which allows me to enjoy these services and put them to the test. I still have not had the chance to head down to my nearest store to experience one of the treatments, so for now, I would like to talk to you about all of the awesome brow enhancing products they have to offer.
When I was younger, one of the very first make-up “compacts” I bought was the Benefit Brow Kit. I kept it in my make-up bag, and even as it lay smashed with barely crumbs left I could not throw it away. I didn’t want to part with it. Late last year I then got to try out Gimme Brow, a brow gel that tames and tints the brows all at once, a product that I use daily. I had no idea they had other products on offer, such as High Brow, a very light shade of pink in the form of a pencil, designed to lift and highlight your brow arch. I cannot believe I have not used this before, it makes such a difference to the definition of the brows, without being over the top.
I think that is the key with Benefit Cosmetics, as well as producing fun products suitable for all, they know how to keep it natural. All of their brow products are designed to enhance and define, without encouraging you to go that one step too far, you know what I’m saying?
Brace yourself for the photographs below, you will see my naked brows, but you needed to see a “before” and then “after” to truly understand the benefit… genuinely did not see that one coming…
First of all I used the Instant Brow Pencil to shape out my arch, using the spoolie end to brush and tame the brow hairs, before applying brush-like strokes with the waxy pencil, always following the natural direction of the hair. Once I was happy with the shape, I then used my trusty Gimme Brow gel to further enhance my see-through brow hairs by giving them a fuller, but still natural look. As my hairs towards the end of my brows are rather sparse, I used a little bit of powder from the Brow Kit to tweak and polish these areas before using High Brow to “lift” and brighten under the arch.
On a day to day basis, I would never, ever use all of these products together. I would only ever do this on the odd occasion where I want to make a statement with my brows, like here, keeping the rest of my make-up natural. Or when I want to wear a real glam look, for a night out or a party perhaps. This grandma cannot even remember where her dancing shoes are…
I really have fallen in love with the Instant Brow Pencil and will most likely use this on the days I choose to give my brow gel a rest. There is not one product here that disappoints and I am certain you will find something that will work for you also.
What is your favourite brow product? Have you visited a BeneBrow Bar?
*I was sent all of these lovely products to test and review as part of the VIP Benefit Cosmetics Program, I was not paid to write this post and all of my opinions are genuine and honest. I would not tell a lie, my nose is already big enough.
