Brand Focus: Le Couvent Des Minimes
In
the 17th Century a convent was built near the village of Mane, in the
South of France and named after the first people to live there: the
Minim Brothers. They grew and studied beneficial plant species so that
they could provide food and remedies to the local community.
whom stumbled across the ruins of this convent and vowed to rescue the
building and restore it to it’s former glory. And so, Le Couvent Des
Minimes was born.
true to it’s monastic tradition of care and well being. Inspired by the
beautiful, ancient Convent building in the heart of the Alps each
product harnesses age old knowledge, creating traditional recipes with
nutrient rich plant oils and floral waters with time-proven benefits. Their rich plant-based balms are suitable for any skin types, including sensitive skin.
*Sprays fragrance adoringly*
The cedar and the basil, the wood, the apple, the pear, oh and in comes orange and lemon just tying everything together. Such a refreshing, revitalising, ever so energising fragrance.
Botanical Cologne of the Morning* has been created to pay tribute to the time of day when nature comes to life, to celebrate the beginning of the day – morning dew bottled. Honestly, it has to be one of the most stunning perfumes I own.
Oddly, mainly because there are no figs in the making of this, it reminds me of my much loved Diptique Philosykos, but a much lighter, greener scent. It is also a hella lot cheaper, you can pick this up for £19.00. Let me say that again. £19.
I have every intention of buying the shower gel, the moisturiser, the hand cream and the soap. I love this fragrance THAT much.
Smile lip balm in Orange Blossom* is a delight to carry around in my handbag. Made with marshmallow extract to soften my lips, whilst the shea butter nourishes and the apricot oil protects. There are three flavours available, I have here orange blossom, but there is also pear and mint. My lips are forever chapped so this has been a saviour. Pick one of these up for £5.00
Now I am no gardener, I still dream of owning my own little patch of land, growing my own fresh veggies, picking strawberries…
Yet my hands do get incredibly dry, especially as the days draw darker and colder. This Gardener’s Hand Healer Hand Cream* is just lovely, packed with ingredients shea butter and seven magical plants – chamomile to sooth, marshmallow as an anti irritant, calendula and lemon balm to soften, mimosa the reparative, verbena, revitalising and rosemary to protect. I surprisingly go through hand creams like there is no tomorrow, but with this one I only need a teeny tiny amount and the job is done. Another one for the hand bag, at £9.00, not bad at all.
