NEW Syntho Brushes | Crownbrush UK | The Review

Ola Chicas!

Today’s post is one for make-up brush lovers – you can never have enough right? I was supposed to write this post a while ago, but as I have been using these brushes SO much, it’s been a little impossible to find time, in between shoots and cleaning them, to take a bunch of photographs to show you. I managed to take some snaps yesterday, so here we are… enjoy!

Crownbrush UK surprised me once more with another bundle of joy! The New Syntho Brushes landed on my lap and I was so excited to play with them. Karla Powell swears by these brushes and takes them with her to practically every shoot!

I thought I would never love another brush more than those in my Crownbrush HD brush set. My first ever purchase from this brand. I was wrong. I fell in love all over again when I was sent the Infinity Brush collection to review. Could I really love these Syntho brushes just as much?

Crownbrush UK New Syntho brushes
Deluxe Fan, Precision Powder, Angle Fluff, Blending Crease and Kabuki.

The answer is YES, I LOVE LOVE LOVE these brushes.
The
New Syntho series brushes have 100% vegan synthetic bristles, which
believe me, are super, super soft.  The handles are matte black and do
not absorb any products or oils. Synthetic
fibres are always a bonus, as they are much easier to clean compared to
natural hair brushes – due to the fact they don’t soak up as much
make-up pigment. If you have a zillion brushes like me, and hate
cleaning them all, choosing synthetic brushes will speed up the time you
spend on cleaning!

Syntho Precision Powder
£11.99

In need of a new powder brush, then look no further because this one is
totes amaze! The super soft bristles glide onto the skin effortlessly
creating a flawless finish. Great with pressed, loose or mineral powder
for creating a base or use it to contour your cheek bones! I even like
to use it to lightly dust on highlighter! A really awesome, versatile
brush.

Syntho Deluxe Fan

£13.99
I
have never owned one of these brushes before, or a brush of this size
for that matter! This has been designed to pick up any fall out that you
may get from eyeshadow or collect excess powder you may have on a set
face. Got to be honest, I am probably the clumsiest make-up artist out
there, and I get powder everywhere, so this brush was made for me.

Syntho Pointed Kabuki
£15.99
What is a Kabuki brush? The
name comes from a style of Japanese theatre, where the actors would
wear really heavy make-up. They are traditionally used to apply
powder/mineral powder creating an all over natural look. I just love
Kabuki brushes, and was happy to see this in my bundle of brushes to
review. I own a few of these brushes already which I use for powder, so
to see that this was has been designed for cream and liquid products was
really interesting..
When
using this brush, I dotted liquid foundation all over my face to start
off, I then took the Kabuki brush and buffed the product in circular
motions to create a seamless, flawless base. With the top of this brush
being tapered, you can really get into those hard to reach places such
as around the edges of your nose. You can cover large surface areas
fairly quickly so if you are always in a hurry and on the go then this
brush is for you.

Syntho Angle Fluff
£4.99

If you cannot be bothered to buy loads of different eyeshadow brushes and want an all rounder then I would recommend this one. The flat surface you can use to pack on the eyeshadow, yet it is fluffy enough to then blend it out. The angled top you can really get into the crease of the eye socket with for when you want more definition. I also like to use this brush when highlighting the brow bone.

Syntho Angle Shader
£3.49

As those of you who regularly read my blog know, I predominantly work in the glamour industry. The one make-up look I repeatedly get asked to create is the “classic smokey eye”. This brush fits perfectly into the outer crease to add depth and definition with eyeshadow. You can also use the brush to blend eyeshadow as the bristles are nice and dense. Another favourite technique of mine is “nose contouring”. I will always contour my nose, anything to make it look smaller, and this brush does the job with either powder or cream.

Syntho Blending Crease
£4.99

I think the one type of brush I never appear to have enough of, is the blending brush. When I have back to back make-overs, finding a clean blending brush is the bane of my life. I use blending brushes not just for eyeshadow, but to apply highlighter and to blend out concealer under the eye area. This particular one from Crownbrush, has been designed to sweep eyeshadow back and forth along the crease. Good blending brushes make all the difference to the eye make-up. I definitely will be buying a few more of these.

Syntho Precision Crease
£3.99
This brush is really handy for softening eyeshadow or eye liner around the top and bottom lash lines. Due to the size of the brush you have much more control over the eyeshadow/liner, as the name suggests it enables you to be more precise. You can also use this brush to highlight the brow bone or even in the inner corner of your eyes. If you want a really defined socket, something typical of the sixties era, you could also use a brush like this to sweep a dark shadow along the crease.

Syntho Mini Concealer
 £3.49

You can use this brush to get into the really hard to reach places around the nose and under the eyes. It is great for patting on concealer around the eye area and then you can just use your finger to blend.
Syntho Chisel Shader
£4.49

These brushes are fab, the best way to use them in my opinion is to smudge eye liner along the top and bottom lash line. It works well with both kohl and gel liners. You can create a really quick and easy smokey eye effect using one of these brushes. I have a Nars Smudge brush, which is absolutely identical to this, except it is much more expensive. Expect to buy the same brush from Nars for £30.
Syntho Brow Duo
£3.99

A great brush to tidy up your brows. Use the “spoolie” end, like a mascara wand, to brush the hairs of your brows into place, then take the other end to apply brow powder to add definition. I actually used the angle brush to apply eye liner when I could not find an alternative! All make-up artists need at least one of these duo brushes in their kit!

There you have it guys, my thoughts and tips on how to use the latest brushes from the Syntho collection by Crownbrush. I am absolutely gutted I missed out on this year’s IMATS, if you any of you went, did you pick anything up from Crownbrush?

See you soon,
