Daily Routine, My Personal Make-up Bag.

Instead of looking at what I have in my pro kit, in this post I thought I would go over what I have in my personal make-up bag at the moment. I tend to keep the contents of my personal bag small, and I sometimes, very naughtily, borrow eye shadows and mascaras from my pro kit. I hate carrying loads of products around with me, and on a daily basis I rarely wear a lot of make-up. Keeping it simple works much better for me – I have a habit of being late for everyone and everything so keeping my own personal make-up routine short and sweet is handy when I am in a rush.
My Daily Routine
After my skincare routine, which is a chore in itself, (Dermalogica: PreCleanse, Special Cleansing Gel, Daily Microfoliant, Multi Active Toner) I apply my Dermalogica Sheer Tint Moisture spf15, which unlike most tinted moisturisers, is actually my skincare as well.
Sheer Tint Moisture comes in 3 shades, at the moment I am using Medium. I love it because it is oil free just like my usual moisturiser – Dermalogica Active Moist – leaves a non greasy finish and has sun protection in too. The coverage is light-medium, it does look like you are wearing a light foundation which I didn’t expect when I first bought it. I love my tinted moisturisers and I am really happy with this one so far.
Wearing just the Sheer Tint Moisture

Next, I use my Illamasqua concealer – if this ever discontinued I would weep, it is the best concealer for coverage and I have tried a LOT! I tend to use this on my chin where I get random hormonal spots. Not photographed, because I have ran out, is my YSL Touche Eclat highlighter pen! I would use this underneath my eyes and round the edge of my nose.

I much prefer looking as natural as possible, so instead of caking myself in powder and bronzer, I have been using the Nars Illuminator in Laguna just to give my face more of a dewy look as well as that little bit of colour. It is really easy to apply with your fingers, I just blend a tiny bit into my cheeks and along the bridge of my nose.

Concealer, highlighter, blusher and a dab of Vaseline on my lips.

Subtle highlighter and a little blush

Once I have finished with the Nars Illuminator, I will sweep on a M.A.C blusher, usually a pinky rose shade as I find pink really brightens the face and gives you a healthy glow. The shade I am wearing is Pink Swoon.

My favourite stage is next: The eyebrows! As you can see I have invisible, thin eyebrows – not attractive.

I usually use Illamasqua Eyebrow Cake in Thunder, as shown in the very first photo, but I do sometimes use a M.A.C Eyebrow Pencil in Dirty Blonde, which I did end up using when taking the photos for this blog post. I think the eyebrow cake is brilliant and leaves a very natural finish – no scouse brow! I did however want more prominent eyebrows on this occasion, hence the pencil.

EYEBROWS! WOO 🙂

Last, but not least, tis mascara. I do love mascara, but I hate putting it on. I curl my lashes first with my Shu Uemura eye lash curler and then whip a quick coating of black over the top. I just find it very boring putting mascara on, and half the time I poke my eye or get it all over my hands….I use the Maybelline Colossal Volume Cat Eyes Mascara in the day and in the evening I have started using YSL Shocking Mascara, which is amazing. I have nothing on my lips asides from a dab of Vaseline, not a fan of wearing anything exciting on my lips in the day time.

Check out my hilbilly tooth poking out right there….

Wah-La! That is my Daily Routine folks – well on the days I put make-up on, I go through phases of not wearing any to let my skin breathe! What do you guys have inside your make-up bags? Is there anything you cannot live without and must wear on a daily basis?

I hope you enjoyed this little post, and I shall see you soon 🙂
